A large number of debt relief companies may not work with you if you already have a judgment against you regarding your credit card debts. As far as I know, it is always easier to settle an account which has gone into collections.

To the OP....yes, it is easier to settle on accounts prior to judgment. After a judgement is rendered, the SOL is extended up to 20 years so why would the creditor want to settle on a debt they have years to collect on with the legal systems assistance. Some will settle, some wont.
