Judgment Creating Lien

I have an outstanding credit card debt that I was paying minimum payments on until I could no longer afford to do so. I was sent to collections, and I tried negotiating payments I could afford, but they wouldn't accept my offer. They sent a notice of judgment to my apartment and delivered it to my roommate, and I didn't find out about it until I received a letter saying there was a notice of entry of judgment. I don't know what this exactly means, and what steps I can take now to make sure they don't start garnishing my wages or anything.
