To make a long story short my family and I came upon hard time due to this bad economy, I have several different credit cards in my name that we couldn't afford to pay, now I'm being sued by this aggresive law firm in kansas I was served with a summons for garnishment on my bank account but that account is closed. I have 1 acre of land and a mobile home that I'm paying for; I also have 2 vehicle one is paid off one isn't everything is registered in georgia in my name [were in kansas due to the military] I plan to file chapter 13 bk once I get back to GA in about 2 months can they take my any of my property? Thanks


If they file a lawsuit and get a judgment against you, then they will be able to place a lien on your property. If you owe the payday loan lender, then it is a better option to pay them off.
