Kingston Financial - What are the common complaints against them?

I just received an e-mail from kingston financial payday loans company saying they would renew my loan and withdraw only the finance fee on Friday, 2/27. I had received an email last night from them saying to disregard that email if they had already processed my application.

The problem is: I have never received a loan from them! I am terrified that they are going to draw money out of my account on Friday and every payday after. I sent them 2 threatening emails, and called but they were closed. I will call again in the morning. What can I do to make them prove they did not deposit money in my account?

Hi Srowan
Kingston Financial Service is a life insurance agency and so what I think is that, they have send you the email to inform you that they are going to collect the premium by debiting your bank account. You can call them up at any of the following numbers: (313) 873-3401, (313) 873-3423, (313) 873-3429.

There are many companies called Kingston Financial. I found one in Australia, one in Kingston, NY and there are others on Google I didn't check out so closely. But I called RCM and they told me that are also Kingston Financial and since it's a debt forum and srowan is describing a payday loan. ("I just received an e-mail from them saying they would renew my loan and withdraw only the finance fee on Friday, 2/27.") they seem the most likely fit.

I got a call from them saying I'm approved for a loan but I have to give them $1,475.00 up front because of my credit history. They are located at 303 West Capital Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72201 tel 18006246189 fax 1501588-964. The contract looks like it's real but has anyone gotten ripped off by them

I did a search on Kingston Financial but the one that I am talking about does not come up?? Does that mean they are ok to deal with. They use your money for insurance on the loan and then they said my next payment would be on Dec 1st?

NO!! Any honest company would NOT ask for money up front...they would take it from the proceeds!!

OMG!! Don't do it...they'll take your $, then say they need more in order to secure your loan, and they'll drain you dry...if you don't believe me, check the BBB...they have a whole section warning of scams.

Same difference...they want u to wire the $...once you wire it, there is no way for you to get it back...

I'm telling you...it is a scam...check the BBB and you will see...they have a section about how it is a fraud...also, call money gram and/or western union...they will tell you the same. I believe the FTC also has a warning about these scams...

Google "Loan Scams wiring money" or something to that effect, and you will see all the horror stories.

Heed my warning! It would be a shame to have you lose what money you have.

Janelle, I'm so sorry you got taken...what happened to you is EXACTLY how the scam works...they keep asking for money until they suck you dry!! Think about it: $775 times 2 times = $1,550...almost a 1/3 of the amount of money you need...then add that $554 they wanted to find you another loan...and you're halfway to the original loan amount of $5,000. WHY would anyone pay half the amount of a loan that they're requesting? Once in the trap, you don't question it b/c they make it sound real...then b4 you know it, you're in too deep!!

They get you, b/c they have you wire it out of the country, and then there is no way to retrieve it.

BTW, Walmart doesn't use Western Union, they use Money Gram. File a report with Money Gram, the police, the AG, the FTC and the OCC. Please let us know if you do get your money back. I haven't heard of anyone being successful in getting their $ back. Good Luck.

I sent them $4,200 like an idiot, without considering how stupid that was, as a collateral payment for an $8,000 personal loan. The process dragged out for an entire month, and now the phone numbers I have for my account rep no longer work, and I still have no loan, and have incurred about $1,000 in fees. Do not use them. If someone named Patrick Stokes contacts you, trust me.... hang up. I was a victim of this companies little scam, and now I'm in a terrible position. Do not send them anything!

They are a huge fraud what they did to me is called me and told me that I qualified for a 10,000 loan but had to pay a collateral security payment of 1,525 and the money will be in the account the following buisiness day. The next day they called and said that my debt to income ratio was an issue so the lender required an addition 1525 and it would be deposited that day. I deposited money in which they turned around the following day called me and stated that the lender dropped off but they found another lender who agreed to my terms for 15,000 but they needed an additional 750 in which I had no where else to go because I needed the money. They said well if you cant you have to wait 3 weeks for the refund in which I couldnt so I borrowed the 750 and called them back and gave confimation in which they said the money will be in the account that day. Never happened I called the next day and they stated that I was suppose to pay a import tax of 900 but since they didnt tell me the money will be deposited on July 3. Well that was a lie. I tried calling back and they screen the calls. The extension was disconected. My father works for the FBI and I reported this company and all the people I worked with to the Attorney Generals office for internet fraud as well. You would think there would be a way to connect the person collecting the money gram to the company. I will find these people and they will pay. If you know anymore about this company please call me at 715-965-2083.

Two weeks ago, I applied for a loan on line from "Kingston Financial Group and spoke a representative about obtaining a loan. He indicated that he would need $950.00 because of my credit and this would be 6 payments in advance. I went to Walmart and got the money gram (which I have documentations of and documentations of the person I talked to and the person receiving the money). I was called the next day by Patrick Stokes, extension 152, and was advised that the loan was denied, they needed another $950.00. I asked for my refund. He assured me the refund would be electronically deposited into my account on 07-03-09. It is 07-08-09 and they are not answering the phones and I need my money back. Please help! For the record, when all of this began, I asked the representative if this was a scam and of course, he indicated no. That is a lie!

Well I called 800-620-8790. These guys are slick. They tell you that the sales people what the sales people tell you does not matter as they don not make the loans. Mind they are the ones that return your calls. I've spoken to my bank (Bank of America) as well as to my state's banking office. Good luck.

I got a $200 payday loan from this agency and did not read the fine print. It read that you cannot pay off the premium unless you pay in full. Otherwise, each payday they deduct 89.00. as a loan fee. The only way to stop the electronic deduction is to pay the full amount of 289.00 (in this instance). If you do not...until the loan is paid in full, each payday 89.00 will be deducted. Therefore, I suggest that you do not use this payday loan agency..I have paid over 1000.00 to date for a 200.00 loan.

Yes, I have been a fool. I plan to pay off my load this week. I will let you know if it does work.

I just recently took a loan out with kingston financial for $200.00 and it was an $89.00 fee. After I took the loan out I decided to research the company and came across alot of people that say that kingston financial is a scam and a ripe off . I took the loan out and it was deposited the next business day as promised. kingston financial took $289.00 out of my savings account on time as I requested. I called them to advise to take the full amount out on my next payperiod and as they specified in their email, I sent them an email requesting the funds taken out on my next payperiod. Thus far I have not had a problem with kingston financial. I see people say that they call the number for kingston financial and the line is busy. I did come across that problem but that was because I called too early. I called when they opened at 8am central time and someone did answer my call.

My husband tried to get a loan with them(Kingston financial) and conveniently after he e-signed it there was an error. Tried to get back on the site and am getting a message saying they do not have on-line lending for customers. My husband has tried several times to contact them by phone(800) 620-8790 and (800)624-6189 no success. An automated voice picks up says thank you and good bye. Any advice?
