Does anyone know if Langhorne debt solutions is BBB certified?

Looking at the BBB record it says that 3 complaints were filed since the opening of their file. 1 was resolved and 2 are unanswered which could mean either the person filing the complaint was unavaible to help resolve the issue or the company did not pursue it.

Looking around the rest of this site I see that many people have had many positive things to say about the company and I believe one of the lawyers for the company is a member of this site.

I didn`t say they are bad. I do think they do good work. Every company is going to eventually have some complaints .They certainly don`t have a pattern of complaints which is a good thing. However with that being said , choosing to ignore a complaint brought to them from the BBB is a very business sense . In this industry your reputation is everything and it is not a very intelligent way to run a business.

I am a customer of Langhorne debt solutions. I have followed all of their instructions, and so far have done a great job for me. Over the past few days i have been getting phone calls from middle eastern male, stating they are filing a lawsuit against me in reference to a payday loan i took from Cashtransfer Center, the status of that account is listed as inactive throught Langhorne, i can not get an answer as to what the inactive status means. Are they not pursuing it, has the lender dropped it...It's just suspicious now that i am getting threating phone calls about this "inactive" status Langhorne has listed....

Anybody have any insight here..

Bill

DO NOT USE LANGHORNE!!! I did, and now I'm doing everything I can to protest against them...AWFUL experience, and now I'm down $1,350. I settled the remainder of my loans on my own, and created a website to spread the word about this company, as well as share the tools you need to settle your loans on your own. Please check it out...LINK DELETED.

Watch out for phone calls from anyone with a thick Indian accent. This is a scam. I have had several harrassing calls, threatening imprisonment if I don't pay anywhere from $1,000 - $6,000. This has been going on for months. It is nothing short of extortion. Don't get taken.

I signed up with Langhorne to settle some debts for me. They led me to believe that the close to $3,000 I was paying them was to settle the debts, now they tell me that that is simply their fees and I am required to pay them with other monies as well. DON'T FALL INTO THEIR TRAP. Stay away from them at all costs! Settle your own debts. I am now out almost $1700 and still have to settle the loans myself.

Similar to another comment listed here on this forum, Langhorne makes you think at first that what you they are withdrawing is to pay back your lenders, and that the only fee they have is a $100 enrollement fee. The truth is they are withdrawing their own fees. They tell you a 5 months later that you need to save on your own. Nice, huh? Learn like me-pay back your lenders on your own.

I don't know what the previous two posters are talking about. They told me I had to put the same amount in my bank account every two weeks and that would never change, although their fees would go down. As long as I kept putting that amount into the account I would have enough to settle. They even sent me several e-mails breaking it all down for me. It worked. I did save the money and they did settle some of my loans. I ended up quitting the program because my other debts caused me to file bankruptcy (Langhorne only handles pdls) but it seemed like a pretty simple program to me. The only difference between them and PDL Assistance (who I also talked to) was that Langhorne let me put everything in an account I set up for myself instead of putting it into their bank.

From reading these comments it makes me leary. I just signed up with them and they have taken there enrollment fee of $100 and first payment. I see their schudule of fees and they are high which they do get paid the first six months of the program. The remaining period the fee is reverse where they receive the small amount and the rest goes into savings to settle the debt. How does this work with settling with the pdl lenders. Do they drop the fees and just let you pay off the principal.

Hi,

I'm suppose to be working with Langhorne Debt Solutions, which is not their new name. They go by another name now. They were suppose to be taken over by another company called MyPayDayRelief. It's says when you're calling Langhorne that we've merged with a new company, however, when talking to someone today, he said that they are the same old company. I have a few loans out that they are suppose to be taken care of, but it seems like I'm paying them and they are not taken care of the loans at all. They may have reached out to the creditors, however, I don't believe them at all. How do I get out of this contract with them? Should I report them to the BBB or do I go to a local representative in my state about them? Can you help. I seem to be wasting money with them and instead of them paying off my loans, they are using the money for god knows what.

Karen W.:(:(

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you've signed with them. What they told me was this, they would only take out their fee in the beginning and that the rest of the money would be put towards paying off of your creditors. I did that and when I got a phone call from one of the creditors, whom now have sold my debt to another third-party, they said that they've never received a call from Langhorne Debt Solutions, which is now MyPayRelief. They are a bunch of xxxxxxx artists who like taking people's hard earned money. Don't fall for it. Get out while you can. I'm going to report them to the BBB and to my state Representative. I think most of the places are phony with the exception of another one that I worked with before.
Thanks for listening.

Not that a collector would ever lie to you to get a commission, Karen, but I haven't had anything like the problem you describe. Besides the contract says you can get your money back if you aren't happy. Why not get your refund and then file your complaints against the lenders.

Also, did they relax the rules on DCC? You didn't used to accept posts with profanity, links, etc. and now I see it all over the place.

Hi,
I signed a contract with mypaydayrelief.com and just saw this blog. I am current on my pdl's but I am unable to pay them anymore. I would like to settle this thing without all the fees from mypaydayreleif.com. Can anyone tell me how to go about this and give me details on the harassment from the storefront lenders? Did they come to your home and job or was it just phone calls and emails?

to stop auto transfers from them, contact your bank. It's also concieveable that they might come after you, but let 'em take ya in front of a judge and explain how they do business.
