How likely are lawsuits during settlement periods?

So after racking up about $14k in credit card debt I signed up with Superior Debt Services and am in the process of getting everything fixed. Right now I'm not too concerned with my credit scores or anything, but am most worried about a lawsuit while in the program..since it'll be a good 6-8 months before the first account is settled (of three total).
SDS claims that lawsuits are "rare", but how rare is rare--and in what instances are they taken in? Is it a time related issue that they're brought up, or are random names drawn out of a hat every month :D I know people who have ignored their debt for years and nothing happened in terms of lawsuits..
Are there any specific tips/advice to minimize the lawsuit risks?

Unfortunately lawsuits during settlements are all not that rare.

I don't know about superior, but I have experienced that fedsco is working wonders for me and people that I know. They do not charge down payment and are doing a superb job. They were able to reduce some of my debts down to 20%. here is their website:email deleted...PM
