Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
Are you speaking about Limited Liability Corp? This is an insurance company based in Montgomery. BBB has rated the company A-. If they contact you again, ask them why are they calling you? If you don't get a proper answer, then tell them to stop calling you. If they still continue to call you, then take legal action against the company.
Most collection agencies are LLC's...limited Liability Corporat
Most collection agencies are LLC's...limited Liability Corporations...it is how they incorporate. Collectors are taught not to disclose the nature of the business, to give vague responses.
Again, you CANNOT take action against a CA based on a verbal request to call. If it is in fact a CA, you must do any requests or cease and desists in writing per the FDCPA.
If they won't provide you with any info (and most of them don't)
If they won't provide you with any info (and most of them don't), then tell them to send you info in writing and that you will not converse with anyone until they do. Then you just don't answer the calls when you see their number on the caller I.D.
I handled several collection agencies for my payday loans like this. They will harass you and threaten you to make a payment, but when you request validation, they ignore you.
