Settlement Amounts

Well the depends. Different creditors are better to approach at different times and if you approach too soon you might not get the best settlement. On the other hand you might get the best settlement from 3 of those at the same time. Will you have the funds to settle those 3 at the same time. Its a chess match.

Chase settled for 4k on a 12k debt i had a year ago.

i settled with Chase for 33% and Discover for %35

I got a 30% settlement on two Bank of America accounts that were originally $16,000 and $6,000, after about 4 months. I got a 20% Chase settlement on an $11,000 account after 10 months.

I settled w/BOA for 27% at 4 months. To those who settled with Chase did they CO and then you settled with a CA?? Was that horrible? I am 3 mos late with Chase and am planning to settle but hoped to do it directly with them.

I am in a debt settlement program and never even spoke to them. It never went to a collector, they negotiated themselves, with my settlement co. and it was over and done with very quickly.

My account was about 2-3 years old. My total payment was one large sum of 4400. my account was at 12,321.67.

It was nice to settle with them. Huge worry off my back. Now I have one more card to get rid of.
