marshal fees

i went through a financial execution the beginning of this month. went to court on mon. have been paying cach $140 per month for 18 months through an attorney in the great state of connecticut. the lawyer didn't show and i was granted my money back.. why should i have to pay the marshals fee of $1985.00?

As far as I can understand, the case was dismissed and you got your money back. In such a situation, you shouldn't be liable for paying any fees to the Marshall. However, the Marshall has done his/her job and can claim the fees for his/her job.
