I have a ? my husband has a collection recently he received a letter from Midland Credit Management asking to pay off the account, giving him a settlement. He called the person incharge of his account wasn't there so he left a message, me trying to paid the bill got online and found this out? What should I do?

I will suggest your husband and you to send a debt validation letter to Midland Credit Management and ask them to validate your debt. This will help you know whether or not they really own your account. If they are able to validate the debt, then consider their settlement offer and pay off the debt. If they cannot validate the debt, then ask them to stop calling you by sending them a cease and desist letter. Have a look at the given page to know more on Midland Credit Management: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/midlandcredit.html
