A check?

I just got a letter from St. Louis Medicredit. Today, will call them and find out what this is about and deal with it Monday.
They gave me a check for a refund payment and then on the same letter it is a debt they are collecting. I have never paid them anything and never heard from them before so how could I have over paid them.?. Are they trying to get me into some sort of agreement unaware?

It seems so. Contact Medicredit and ask them why they have sent you the letter or the check. It will help you know whether or not it is a case of mistaken identity. Don't do anything with the check. You may send a debt validation letter in writing to them.
