My bank account was levied last week for 25% of the balance, I didn't get the notice until Friday and my bank was closed. I talked to them today...got the information that it was Midland.Called them....found out it was for a credit card from 2000. Can they do this after all this time?(I'm not even certain it's mine,it doesn't show up on my credit report.) The man I spoke with was unhelpful in everyway, said that they will continue to take it until the debt is paid.

You should send a debt validation letter to Midland and ask them to validate your debt. If they are unable to validate the debt, then they cannot call you or take money out of your account. You can send them a 1 letter in this regard. Apart from this, you may even take legal actions against Midland in order get back the money that they had taken out from your account.
