I have a different complaint than the ones I read through here so looking for some help. I found out last week by surprise that Midland Funding has a lein on the title to my house. It is from 2006 or 2007, couldn't really figure it out. I don't remember ever dealing with this company though and have had no correspondence from them I'm certain for the past two years. So, I have to contact them and get this lein taken care of. Any advice on how to go about that since they have not made any contact with me at all?

It's likely they obtained a judgment against you that resulted in the lien. I would check with your courts (where you reside currently and any previous) to see if you can figure out when the judgment was granted. If you were not properly served, and it sounds like you weren't, I would petition the court to have the judgment vacated due to improper service.
