i had my account on hold for like half the year and then when they finally took it off it was in the negative and now they are contacting my job and tryibg to take money out of my check and i was never told bout this and i never received a letter what can i do

Welcome to the forums!

They can't take out money from your checking account without securing judgment order from the court. Send a written notice to Midland requesting them to validate the debt. If the don't send you the DV letter, then send cease and desist letter via certified mail. However, if the debt is really yours, then negotiate a settlement with them. Alternatively, check whether or not any judgment order has been issued against you.
