Is there a monthly fee for being in the program?

What program? I'm guessing that you're asking about debt settlement programs, right?

Yes, there would be a fee involved if you take the service of a settlement firm. But since the charges would vary widely, you'd need to shop around to find the suitable company. Also, there are some non-profit organisations which might charge you only nominal fees for their services.

However, you must do a thorough research before accepting offers from professional debt settlers. A cheap company might not always give you the best result.

it all depends on who you signed on with and yes most of them charge fees that are across the board. what are you thinking of? counceling, management, settlement? if you could tell us what you are looking into we could better give you a idea of what the fees would be. just a round about idea though every company is different as to how they charge and what they charge.
