After I married my high school sweet heart in 2001 we started to have some money trouble. We both have student loans and credit cards and auto loans...
Now we have twin 8 month old daughters. Money is tight to say the least. We are nearly caught up from my unpaid maternity leave, but it seems like there isno end to the late fees and bills and the companies don't want to hear my problems, they just want their money.

Long story short. I was off of work for 9 months. I had some minor complicationsand then I was supposed to have my mom watch the girls but she had a work related injury and 2 shoulder surgeries in the last 6 months so she can't lift them or watch them.

We are determined to make things better for our children's future and be able to move into a larger house. We paid off 3 smaller credit cards (under$700) in the past 12 months and are working toward the rest.

You are going in the right direction. Take some professional help in case you are looking for a reduction plan. The late payment fees will be waived off from the total debt and the counselor will negotiate with your credit card companies to quote you a lower interest rate. Take care of your kids because they are your prime responsibility. I am sure you along with your husband will work out a suitable payment plan under professional help from a counselor.
