debt settlement

is it possible that i lose the house if I went ahead with the debt settlement. it is all new to me and it is scary. I am learning and I keep my ears open. Thanks for all your help.

well no as long as you pay your mortage. or if its paid for then
well no as long as you pay your mortage. or if its paid for then no. you cannot usually include secured loans into settlement so you will only be able to include unsecured loans like credit cards, and such.
The worst thing that can happen to your home during a settlement program is that if a cc takes you to court and they put a lein on your home which is not a big deal it just means that you cant sell your home till the debt is paid.
you wont loose your home because you default on your credit cards.
