I wrote a cease and desist ceritified letter along with a letter to revoke a wage assignment to a PLS creditor and my employer several months ago. Now the original PLS store has turned over the debt to their collection service department at another location. They called my boss and the caller identified themself as a lawyer.. and followed with another wage assignment request .. which they faxed. do I need to repeat my previous actions?

if you gave a blanket revocation stating that you revoke any,and all wage assignments.that should work.if not draft one stating that, and let the bottomfeeders send anything they want.guest is right.once your bases are covered there they need a court order to garnish.i would let your employer know that wage assignments are not transerable.meaning this is still the same assignment.

The wage assignment that the CA has is the same one that you signed with the PDL. If you already revoked it with the PDL, then the PDL gave the CA a wage assignment which is in effect useless.

If you have proof that the PDL received your revocation (ie if you sent it certified), then the CA is breaking the Credit Practices Rule by trying to use it. Just inform your payroll that you already revoked it.
