Harrassment of collecting a student loan

My mother is a co-signer for my niece student loan, unfortunately my took sick with 6 bypass and is unable to send money for this debt, i daughter will repay the loan in an payment agreement but when i spoke with mrs assoicate debt collector, i was told that i had to put down $700.00 this month and $200.00 monthly,i cant put down that much but i can agree to pay 350.00 this month and $350.00 next month and $150.00 monthly. The collector was rude and said that my mother would have to find other means in paying this money back. What should i do.
Technically you cannot do anything....you dont owe the debt.
Technically you cannot do anything....you dont owe the debt. You have to understand that both your mother and the niece agreed to pay this debt IN FULL on demand if it defaulted. Demanding that debtors pay as agreed is hardly harassment.
What the niece doing about this debt? Is she and your mom will probably be sued for this debt????
