National Action Financial Services bogus

I received a call straight to voicemail from National Action Financial Services asking them to contact them regarding outstanding debt. I spoke to a representative who claimed it was debt from Columbia House - BMG Capital Management from Oct 2008, but that they were out of business now so I could not contact them to get any written information. I have never done business with the aforementioned company. Is it not convenient that they are out of business? The representative asked me to verify my address to identify myself. Pause in the call for 20 seconds. She asked if I had lived at another address which did not match any of my addresses. She explained she would put it in for review and that they would call me only if I was verified as the debtor (why not verify first?). Then she asked if my contact number was still valid and provided a phone number that was not the same as the one I provided them and the one they called me on. I will be sending them the debt validation letter linked by PassionHunting.
You will be taking the right step by sending them a debt validat
You will be taking the right step by sending them a debt validation letter and asking them to validate the debt. As they have provided you with wrong information over the phone, I don't think they will be able to validate your debt. Once they are unable to validate the debt, you can send them a cease and desist letter asking them to not contact you any further.
