I contact a company about my debt problem and this is what they told me..
Your money is saved into that escrow account until enough is saved to settle each debt one by one at a reduced amount. We begin negotiating with all your creditors as soon as your first payment is received and continually work with them to get you the lowest possible settlement amount. We base your account on 50% of the total debt listed, but we have a pretty successful 37% settlement rate.
You are at the very worst case scenario paying back only 1/2 of your actual debts.
But they also told me..Service not provided by xxxxxxxx."Monies paid directly to xxxxxxxx are for xxxxxxx fees only
and not for payments of clients debts. xxxxxxxxx is a debt settlement program not a debt consolidation or a credit counseling ."
If we pay them... then how are our debts being paid off? Please help. :?:

Welcome to the Community :D Are you talking about a debt settlement Company? Is it one that you got a referral from this site?
You need to ask questions to them about anything you may be thinking. ASk about any fees, or hidden fees. And always check them out with the BBB.
I don't know about how this company works, but others who have done this, can help..Good Luck..Karen
