settlement companies

I signed up last month with Rise above debt relief... I have only been past due on my bills for a month now and creditors are calling requesting payment... From what I understand, I need to have limited to no conversation with them so the accounts go into collections where the settlement company can begin their process and settling the debt.. Wish me luck..

At first i didnt get it either, but after being around for awhile you will befin to understand. One of the reasons is that everyones personal situation is different and need to be handled differently to those circumstances. If there wasnt this rule you would have every single person here screaming that you should use X company. and no one would be able to make a well informed decision or engage in a good discussion on how to handle a debt without thier plug in. At first i thought it was stupid, but when you have been around this forum for a few weeks you will see people here not to really help, just to advertise and the whole point of this site is to help. If you stick around long enough you will see places you should definetly avoid which will make your search much easier. I hope this helps!!
