I am looking for examples of letters:

1) letter asking PDL not to contact my employer/family and friends
I understand the cease and desist letter only works for collection agencies.

2) Letter stating that I have stopped Ach's from my bank and that I would like to make payment arrangments
and to only contact me via e-mail or usps.

My main concern is them contacting my empolyer family and friends even if I contact them to make arrangments.

What PDL's are you dealing with?

Here is a sample of the letter I sent out.

Quote:

Dear XXX

I am presently going through some financial difficulties and fear that I will not be able to meet my required payments to you. I do not want to declare bankruptcy and want to try and work out an alternate payment plan.

There has been a hold placed on my account that will block any further debits from coming through my account ending in XXXX. Therefore I REVOKE and further debit authorizations from your company or any of your affliates. I am currently involved in a Consumer credit counseling Program and you will be receiving a proposal from them very soon. My credit counselors name is XXXXX XXXXX and she can be reached at XXX-XXX-XXXX. I have every intention on paying this debt off. Any communication you need to make with me must be done via email at XXXXX(@)XXXX.com or phone XXXXXXX. Please do not call my place of employment as I am not allowed to have personal Phone calls.

Thanks for your cooperation,

I've only had one PDL not listen and they continue to call me at work even after I verbally told them not to. This may not be the letter you want to use but it can give you an idea depending on your situation. Hope this helps a little bit.

PinkLady,
I just e-mail and then I will forward via certified mail a letter to oneclickcash so, we will see what happens with the e-mail I sent them. You know I believe if I am not mistaken ameriloan and oneclickcash are affiliated some how. But they accepted your payment proposal? what is the minimum you think you can send a month?

I think ameriloan is affiliated with a lot of others as well. I had a loan with UnitedCashLoans and they have the same address as Ameriloan. I don't think I ever received anything from Ameriloan officially stating they accept but they haven't tried to contact me and my counselor said they were cashing the checks. My total with amerilaon was close to $490 and my counselor is sending them $40 a month.

I also faxed copies of my letters to the fax numbers I had available and some of them responded by email to the fax before the certified letters were received. I sent them by fax and mail so I could defiantly make sure they got my letters. But some people have been successful with emails. Also make sure that none of your docs had a Wage Assignment involved, if so make sure you send a letter revoking that as well.

I only had one of my PDL's make me sign a voluntary wage assignment prior to funding my loan, but as soon as i defaulted I immdiately sent a letter revoking that authorization. If your not sure then you can just add it into your letter to cover all the basis. You just need to state that your revoking any wage assignments that me be involved.
