I did a stupid thing... After losing my job I moved and did notify any of my creditors and I also haven't paid any of my bills for a very long time. Is there still hope for me?

Ricky -

Can you give us a little more information? Like what type of debt you're facing, and approximately how much? How long has it been since you've paid?

I hate to say this, but moving is no guarantee that they will not find you. That's what skip-tracing is for. The creditors will perform a skip-trace on your credit report to find out if you have obtained new credit or loans, or if a new home address/phone number or job has been reported on your credit report. Then they will begin pursuing you once again.

ricky, did you try to call the debtcc number for financial help? The number is 1-800-601-1579. A financial coach can get your information and advise you as to what your options are. Of course there is still hope! Please call and see what your options are. There are many people here willing to help you. :D

Unfortunately, your creditors will catch up to you. Wish it was different, but that's just the way it is, sorry. The best thing to do is to make a list of what you owe and start working out reasonable payment arrangements with everyone. Remember, basic needs like food, housing, etc always come first, and then you can work on paying off other debts.
