Settling with CA - How to pay?

I've began to settle my accounts, the settlement offers are okay, but hey.. I just want to get out...
Everything is negotiated, and I've given my banking information out to banks and CAs.
After finding this forum and my own anxieties, I feel this is a bad move...
However neither the banks or CAs would allow me to pay any other way. They would always tell me if I wait the offer is off the table. And the only way to agree to an offer is provide them with a bank account. Also check or money order is just not an option.
Am I just getting false information? I mean they all basically told me the same thing. Even the more helpful/nice reps from CAs I've spoken to.
Now as about 5 CAs/banks have my bank account information with that, is it a common thing for them to charge accounts after the settlement is done to be malicious?
The CAs I spoke to were gotten directly from the original creditors. So I know at least in that aspect they are overseeing my accounts.

Since they already have the information you might have the option to cancel it now. Anyway, make sure that they send you letter stating that the account has been satisfied after the payment is made.

it most likely is too late, but from my personal experience i would never do this again. i did it one time and they took the money out when they were not suppost to and overdrawn me. and thats not the worst part they had some type of mis understanding and double dipped me a week later leaving me pennyless and overdrawn until they put it back. it took about 2 months to get straightened out considering the checks i had out there all bounced also. its very scary.
