I would like to pay these off, however, can not afford to do so until after Christmas and pay them with my Holiday bonus. What should I tell them, how much do I actually owe them? What letter should I send to them that will inform them not to call my references and my work that they can contact me via email or on my cell/home phone. Thank you so very much for helping me - I truly appreciate your time.

It looks like you've got the calculations all figured out. I would send them all certified letters along with a copy of your state laws showing what is legal, and tell them that you will pay according to your laws. Also, I would copy your AG with the letter, and make sure to note in your letters to the PDL's that you are getting your AG involved. Include in those letters your estimated payment date, and a cease and desist all contact with you and your references.

No one can press you for paying more as long as you are following the charges mentioned in your state.
I am assuming that you have done the calculations until the Christmas time when you will be sending the money. Keep yourself in front of the lender so that they don't call your references. If they still sound disturbing, tell them to file the complaints with the attorney general because they are calling someone that has nothing to do with this situation and when you are keeping yourself upfront.
It will be good if you notify them about your actions in writing. They will become informed about you.

What would be the best letter to use in this situation? Most of the letters I have seen state that their account needs to marked paid in full. Also, can I fax/email these letters to them as well? I have nine certified letters at $4.65 each - it is worth it, I just need to locate funds to cover this. Thanks again for all you have done for me. I will definately copy the AG office. I have also provided a copy of the laws to the bank when I closed my account plus a copy of pollys letter. The acct. exec. stated that so many people come in due to the internet payday loans and she does not know what to tell them, now she does :-).
