Hi, I have two credit cards that have gone to collection agencies-$14,000 and $6,000. I am now able to pay off two of the largest accounts at a discount-$6,000 and $3,000 respectively. Both are approaching six years old.

What is SOL in Washington State on credit card debt and when does the calendar start?

Any help is much appreciated-Kevin

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!

The SOL in Washington for written contracts is 6 years, for oral agreements is 3 years, for promissory notes is 6 years, and open-ended accounts is 3 years. The SOL starts from the first date of your default on a credit card. You can either for the SOL period to end or can negotiate with the collection agencies and repay the debts. The choice is yours.
