settled debt on my credit report

I settled a credit card in June 2009. However, the account is still appearing on the credit report as "past due". What should I do?

Delinquent accounts stay on credit report for around 7 years. However, after settling the debts, the creditors usually update the account status as "settled" on credit report. If the account status have not been updated yet, then you should request your creditor to do so.
