Debt Collection

I received a call from a debt collector on a 900.00 past due from Target National Bank. I informed the collection agency that I would ask for signed receipts of purchases and have not receoved a reply from anyone at Target National Bank. I used to own a Target card. I have not had any transactions on this card and would like for someone in Target National Bank to reply to me. Would you be able to help me on this?

The CA will do nothing by verbal request. You must send a DV letter in writing disputing the debt. Even then, Target will not contact you. Try calling target yourself, although it is possible they may refuse to talk with you since the account is in collections.
