Can I negotiate all on my own to reduce my debt?

Just got a big pay cut can't make min payments now, I have 50k in CC debt, called several compaines and they want about 6k split over 3 years to handle my problem, or can i do it my self and pay off faster

Well, it would really depend upon your negotiation skills. 50k unsecured debt can be a big amount for someone to handle if you're not skilled. However, you can check the 'do it yourself' section. The creditors wouldn't like the idea of settlement hence you would need to have a thick skin while dealing with them.
