I sent a certified letter to Payday Select telling them that I had overpaid them 410.00 according to the State of Florida. No Response after 3 weeks. I emailed them in reference to the letter and included a copy of the States Laws, an Email from the FLDFS stating that they are required to be licensed by the Department, and also referred them to a couple of Court cases where the laws were upheld in suits against payday loan companies in the Stae of Florida. I told them that I had held off on filing complaints for now.
I received a reply. "we are sorry you were not happy with.....we are marking your account paid in full."
I replied in so many words, thanks but you have not addressed the fact that you owe me 410.00. I am now filing complaint withs the FTC, the FLDFS, The AG in both states if I do not hear back from you. Nothing. Sent another email of similar wording. Nothing. Do you think I am whipping a dead horse here or are they waiting to see if I really filed those complaints? It seems like the "we are sorry" letter is a form they email out.

I would keep trying, at least for a while and see what happens with you filing the complaints. Might turn you you get your refund, but if you don't, it won't be from lack of trying. I know I have tried and tried with Debt Doctors (MagnumZ), but nothing and they owe me around $1000. Get the run around about having to send request to West Indies and so I do and nothing.

Frogpatch file those complaints. ASAP. The more complaints the better. I was just on the phone with the PA AG office they said they are not receiving that many complaints on payday companies. As many people as there is on here there should be a ton of complaints. They cant do anything without the complaints. The AG has the power to do something. I am glad for your paid in full but that is alot of money that is rightly owed to you. The WV AG has got back refunds for consumers that were abused by these companies. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

I have read mixed reviews about Floridas AG. I personally have had 0 resonse from there. The FLDFS also says that these companies present "signficant issues". Payday Select is in Delaware in Payday Loan Park where it seem half of these companies are located. The AG there must be getting sick and tired of complaints.
