My story is probably like many others. I started out with a little debt and ended up with much more than I can handle. I was at one time very aware of what I spent and managed it very well. I am now over $70,000 in debt. Much of it comes from trying to get out of debt like taking online courses to start another career, paying a large amount for a "Get Out Of Debt" program after paying off two cards fully, and transferring balances to an unsecured loan that increased the interest rates when I missed one payment and also charged a late fee. And in addition to all of this my husband and family don't have a clue how much trouble I am in with my debt. I am in need of a new car but I can't afford one because I can't qualify for a loan and I have no money after paying my bills to afford the payment. I am so ashamed of what I have done. I don't want anyone to know. But I do want to get of of this debt.

I feel your pain - my boyfriend and I want to move in together and I keep telling him that I'm not ready because my credit is so bad that I know I'm going to have a hard time. He also wants me to go through his dad to get a new car and I keep putting that off as well because then my credit scores would be out in the open and I don't want the embarassment of his dad having to turn me down for a car loan!

Aah, it????????s really sad to through such a kind of situation.

brookds, $70,000 in debt is quite a big amount. Have you thought about settling the debt with your creditors? Since, you have no means to pay this kind of money, try settling the account for less than half of the principal amount. You need to get these debts paid off to improve your credit ratings. At this point, it????????s only adding up with interests and fees.
