I have three payday loans out that I have not been able to pay back. One is on the nternet and two are locally. I am embarrased to talk to them or anyone about it. It destroyed my bank account which is now very high in the negetive and I dont know how to get out of it> I know it is my fault I was trying to help get out of some small debt and made things much much worse. any suggestions please!!!

man, iguess you are a man, but hey you just gonna have to suck it up and pay them make some kind of arrangement with them and they will problably knock off some of the interest and you can make a one time payment. close that account at your bank and start a neww one if this stays open it will affect your credit big time and pay what you can on that each week. but stay on top it will get better you will be better off for it in the long run. luck to you

Hi Joe,
I have had the same problem, I received this email today from one of my PDL companies:

Quote:

Over the past several weeks, we have asked that you contact us concerning the outstanding debt owed to QuickPay LLC. You have closed the personal checking account on record for debiting. Your intentions are to not pay the past due monies owed nor set up any arrangement to pay off this past due loan. A request was made to mark your account ???????paid in full??????? and all business with you be terminated. After reviewing your account, we will meet this request and as of 10/31/2006 mark your account paid in full and you no longer have business with our company. This decision is dependent upon no further action being taken on your behalf with filing a complaint with either the Attorney Generals office of any state and the BBB or any other agency. Nor any other derogatory action performed against our company. Further collection efforts involving outside collection agencies and litigation processing will not precede and this account is closed.

Past Due since 10/12/2006
Amount past due is $780.00

so keep on them:)

Turkeywurkey2, they can NOT tell you that you can NOT file a complaint with your AG's office in return for your account being marked paid in full! RIDICULOUS! I hope you did file the complaint and forwarded this e-mail to the AG's office, what are they afraid of? Getting caught with operating without a license and the penalties which shall follow?

Will your bank allow closing the account before you pay their fees? Sadly, you will have to first pay the amount to your bank before you can close the account.

Alternately, try to work out something with CashnetUSA by sending some money in advance. If they post it to your account, your arrangement will be thought accepted. First review your bank statement and figure out how much you have paid on the loan and compare with your state laws.

Joe,

I sent a cease and decist letter to each of my pdl lenders, they have not contacted me by phone, I have been communicating w/one through e-mail, the other will not talk to me they hang the phone up on me, so I did file a complaint w/AG office demanding a refund from this company. As far as the checking account, I think it need to be a positive balance before you can close it, if any way possible that is your best option.

Joe,

You will need to contact your two local lenders to make some type of payment arrangments with them. Who is the online lender? If we have more info, we can help you more on that situation. I've heard that store front lenders are easier to work with than internet ones. I only defaulted with internet ones but I've worked my way through that mess. Feel free to register with the site :-)

You will need to work out a payment arragnement with the store front PDL, go there in person and tell them what is going on. As for the internet one, close your account and don't give out your new account iformation to anyone and if feasible get your phone # changed. Good luck and keep posting

If possible, because you can't close your current account at this time, try going to another bank to open a new one and have your direct deposit sent there. Try a credit union, they are usually good to work with. Your bank will continue to charge you a fee everyday you are overdrawn and this unfortunaely adds up, but after so many days, I think maybe 30 they will automatically close it out. I am surprised CashNet won't work with you, I have heard they worked with others on payment arrangements. If they won't accept your calls, try e-mailing them and stand firm on your payment arrangements, let them know what you can reasonable afford at this time.

thanks for all the responses, it feels good to know your not alone in the battle..lol. I did open another account a couple weeks ago and switched my direct deposit, I had to I knew they would take everything. My bank has charged a fee every day 7.00 for the past 5 weeks ( I've been avoiding it, not a good choice, but I dont know what to do. Cashnet said I can send them payments but the 50.00 a month offer they could not accept.(I did record that conversation)they will take the money but not agree to my terms. That is all I can afford while paying the other ones as well. I am really concerned about the checking account, I had a cash advance on that too, what a mess!! I have to call cashland, they gave me a hard time last time I called, I will record that conversation as well. A lot of people say about the payments and fees already paid from these companies, I am confused on what that means. for example before I went in default with cashnetusa I gave them 277 worth of fees from prior loans and much more to the other 2 store front pdl..does that mean anything? thanks again

Joe, Welcome to the forum. I think your account has to be positive before you can close it. But the bank will work with you if you go in and explain what happened with these loans. I know it is embarassing but it is better than going to court over the negative bank account. Also what state are you in? Payday loan laws vary by state. Keep posting and let us know how you are doing. KYSIDE38
