Making payments to a lawfirm?????

What is the best way to make a payment to a lawfirm? I was planning to send a check to them. They aren't willing to work with me but I'm going to try and pay anyway. Is a check the best method? This way I can have a record of it.

if this supposed law firm won't work with you.do not send a check.send a money order.that way this supposed law firm won't have your account# and routing#.which is on the check.if you feel the need to pay them do it that way.you can still keep track of it and it's as easy to stop payment.cheaper too.
