As I wrote previously, I need to pay off an old credit card debt. My bank accounts have been frozen, and I'm pretty nailed to the wall.
I owe 8500.00
they gave me the amount of 6400.00

Is there any way to reduce this further, since a judgement has already been entered against me?

This is like a nightmare-I'm shaking, my kids think I've got the flu or something.

Ideas?

Elsie, if they already have a judgement against you, I am not sure if this can be negotiated any further. Is the 6400 what the judgement amount was? Did the cc company have the court freeze your account for this? If you filed a hardship paper with the court, sometimes they will take your ability to pay into account. Hang in there, we are here to help support you..KAren :D

Where does the 6400 come from, or is that the amount you want it down to? Were your accounts frozen as the result of the judgement? I really don't know that you can get the judgement lowered once it has gone to court, but I am not an attorney. It does seem that everyting happens all at once-or at least in my home!! Hang in ther!!..KAren
