I am happy to report that the State of Oregon has enacted legislation effective July 1st 2007 changing Payday Loans. Loans must go out for a minimum of 31 days. No more than 36% interest and $10 per hundred dollars borrowed may be charged. It's about time. Payday Loans are ruining people that are unwilling (me) or unable to live within their means. My payday loan nightmare is coming to a close as I pay them off one check at a time.

Guest, thanks for the information. Do you have the link to the State of Oregon website where this information is put? I will try if I can search for this link and paste here

kyside38, that's good news you have fought back on payday loans. It's a great feeling, no lender will ever bother you. If you get junk mails from them, don't think twice throwing into trash. :)
