Pre Garnishment

I am about to go to court for a garnishment - I have tried talking with the law firm filing but the money they are asking for I can't meet - it is outrageous and they were very rude and un caring - is there anything I can do - I'm sure I'll lose in front of the judge. anyone know Indiana laws?
