Pre-Legal notice from midland funding

I received a Pre-Legal notice from midland funding for a bill that I am not sure I owe. I sent a debt valadation letter and they sent one back after 30 days saying it was under investigation and on the letter was a different amount than the letter they sent the first time, is this in violation of the FDCPA? What are my next steps they are over thier time limit to valadate this debt.
I don't think it is a proper debt validation letter in any way.
I don't think it is a proper debt validation letter in any way. It may be the case that they don't really intend to sue you. But we can't say that for certain. If they have sent you the notice without intending to sue you, then it is a violation of FDCPA laws. You may make a written request to validate the debt again.
