OKay another question
If I requested in writing to the CCB credit collectors for proof of debt they have to send it to me right? TNB said they had no control over it anymore it was in the hands of CCB so I requested from them proof in writing is this the same as asking for it from TNB? And the answers I am getting from the Credit reporting agencies do not tell me anything about how it is mine or not.

Unless you live in TX, they are under no obligation to respond to a dv letter. However, they have to cease all collection activity until they do respond. If they are unable to validate the debt, then they will pass it on to another collection agency. Then you start the whole process over. The new agency is not bound by the dv letter sent to the old one. If the item is on your credit reports, then you can dispute it with them. This will force the collectors to validate the debt to them. Sometimes this helps.
