Can they re-age my debt?

How can I get them to stop? They have re-dated my debt on my credit reports. I have disputed the debts (both were book clubs, both have been paid in full) with all three credit reporting agencies. I thought it was illegal for them to re-date my debt.

After that you may dispute the account status with the credit bureaus. You may also report the issue to FTC to State Attorney General since re-aging is a major violation of FCRA laws.

OP,..do you have documentation when the book clubs were actually paid in full'? If you do, then you can make a copy of the documentation and send a letter to the CRA's with the evidence that you have. That should be a pretty good start for you.
