I have received numerous calls with an automated voice (they usually call on weekends) from "Allied" at 800-342-8576 telling me I am to contact "James Taylor." I have left messages for this person (when I can get through which is rare) & get no return phone call from him, only repeated automated calls informing me I need to call about a debt (and I am current with all of my creditors). Should I write a cease & desist letter to them since I can never talk to a living human being?

Thanks for the advice. We've never received anything in writing ... just call after call after call. It's our practice to never answer 800 calls b/c they are usually someone trying to elicit business (even tho we are on the national do not call registry, they still call all the time). But this number calls sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. In my business practice, I have clients frequently who are turned over to collections for unpaid medical expenses and they always receive notice in writing before further action is taken.
