Looking for a debt management program... I am not a big fan of the debt negotiation places after all the reading I have done. A few places I have seen are consolidatedcredit.org and moneymanagement.org (CCCS) .... anyone worked with them? I am doing my research and they both seem legitimate... although consolidated wants $717/mo for 48 months.

I am bringing about $26k in unsecured debt into the program I will join. Consolidated told me that they can reduce my interest to 7% for 4 years with the creditors I have.

I signed up for the free consultation on this sute and i was saying to check out superiordebtrelief...

any experience/recommendations?

i am an engineer, decent income. Got behind through school and got into a mess.Want to clear this up and move on without this huge burden on my shoulders. I know it takes time. I don' t have the time to get on the phone myself, nor am I good with talking to those nasty people who call me.. and would like to pay my debt back.. but dont want to get screwed by choosing the wrong company to help me.

appreciate any input. thanks!

Rob

If you have the money to pay your debts, debt consolidation is a good option, just make sure that you are working with a trustworthy company and take advantage of the free advise on this site.

Welcome to the Community :D I won't personally recomend a particuliar company-because I haven't used one. If you signed up on this site- you can also use the Ranking Chart to help you with your decision. Whatever company you choose, be sure and ask all the questions you may have, such as: What are all the fees in the program, how long before creditors get paid, will your creditors work with the company, etc. You can also check out with the BBB, use the search feature on this site and google them for more info..Good Luck--keep us posted of your progress..KAren--if you are having problems with your password, go to the sign-in screen and there is a place for that--still having problems, PM Mike and he will help you..KAren
