Well, if you sent them a validation request and they never responded then they are violating the FDCPA by calling you attempting to collect. If you have proof ( a return receipt from the USPS) that you sent them a debt validation letter, you could actually sue them in a court of law for up to $1000.00 as provided by the FDCPA. I would file a complaint against them with the FTC, it should be known that this alleged collection agency is violating the law by continuing collection efforts during the validation process. i havent sent them a dv letter because i had read a lot of stuff about them online that said they are quick to sue people so i wanted to get this taken care of asap.....since i have made payments to them already is it too late to send them the letter?
