Has anyone heard of Doug Johnson, the advocate from RelieveYourDebt.com? What is your experience with him? Do you recommend working with him?

From their website:

"Doug Johnson and his associates provide an educational and referral service to people struggling with debt."

They are just a referral house. They claim to review your financial situation and give you a recommendation on what course of action you should take. You can do this on your own. In fact this forum was created for just that reason.

If you really want personal advice, talk to a local bankruptcy attorney.

I saw the post about Doug Johnson and his debt relief service. My sister-in-law worked with Doug about 8 months or so ago. I am going to get her to post her comments directly here, but I thought I would say what I know. She is currently working with a debt company that Doug put her in touch with, and she seems to be making progress. I definitely recall that she had a good experience with Doug and felt good about the decision he helped her make. I am not certain of this, but I think Doug was a consultant and he did not charge her any fee directly. I am sure she would recommend Doug, but again, I will see if I can get her to post her own comments to make sure I have it right.
