Depending on your state laws, they can do whatever is necessary if they do it peacefully.

I agree with soaplady - unfortunately unless you can make the loan good, you will have to turn over the car.

I read the OP's other post....they are 7 months behind in payments and are hiding the vehicle. At this point I would take any threats seriously.....you could be charged criminally for hiding the vehicle....I just googled it and you could end up in jail in some states.

The original loan came from Capital One. They offered me the pay in full settlement letter and giving me 10 days period. I'm in the process of summing up the Money before the due date.
However, the company that capitalone forwarded my case to which is windsor group is aware of this letter ( they forwarded to me themselves). Still insist on get possession of the vehicle.
I'm not sure what to do at this point.

I'm not trying to give them hard time. I'm just trying to avoid the Repo Fee, storage fee etc.. I am paying off the loan for the vehicle within the next couple of days.

they are not going to stop until you either pay if off, or give them the vehicle. even though they sent you a settlement letter doesnt mean they are going to stop their reposession efforts. especially if its 7 months past due from what i am understanding. my advice, if you dont pay it off in the next 2 days like you say you will. then give them the car back. it is basically useless sitting in your garage. as soon as you take it out there will be a repo man waiting to snatch it, somthing like this never really goes away, it might take a month or a year, but sooner or later you will have to open the garage and i garantee somone will be waiting.

Here is the updated! I paid off the settlement on the 16th and was told that the title released to me withing 14 to 21 business days. Today I called CapitalOne to follow up about the title and they told me it was sent to an incorrect address.
Please help me of what to do at this point.
