Bella Financial or Superior Debt Services - Whom to work with?

I was in touch with two debit companies today one was Bella Financial out of Dallas TX, the other was Superior Debt Services in OK. Superior Debt Services offered credit repair help after you pay off your debt. Both companies charged 15% of the total debt as their fee and they said they could reduce my debt to only 40% of what I owe.

Have you all heard of either of these companies, Bella Financial and Superior and if so what do you think, they both invited me to look at their links on the BBB.

DON'T USE BELLA FINANCIAL.....I WAS VERY UNAHPPY WITH THEM, THEY HAVE LOST THE ABILITY TO PRACTICE IN SEVERAL STATES. THE TURN AROUND IS HIGH. I HAD A GREAT REP, BY THE NAME OF CRYSTAL, AND I JUST CALLED FOR HER--GUESS WHAT SHE IS NO LONGER THERE. SHE WAS ONE OF THE BEST REPS I HAVE DEALT WITH IN A LONG TIME. I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THEM ANYMORE-JUST WHEN I WAS GETTING TO KNOW HER. WHAT IS GOING ON THERE? I GOT SUED AND LISA WAS TAKING CARE OF ME AT FIRST, THEN SHE STOPPED ALL TOGETHER, AND GOT RUDE WITH ME BECAUSE SHE DROPPED THE BALL. SHE TOLD ME MY BEST BET WOULD BE TO FILE BANKRUPTCY. IF THEY DON'T FIND CRYSTAL, I AM FILING AN AG COMPLAINT & ONE WITH THE BBB-SHE CARED. I WILL ALSO TELL MY OTHER 7 FRIENDS THAT I REFERRED TO THEM TO DO THE EXACT SAME.

I am with Superior Debt and they are awesome, great and my person Teresa is still there since I enrolled, which has been almost 2 years in the program. This is how amazing they are my debt settlement program is almost done even when I signed up for a 3 year program I am almost done with only 3 more accounts to go. I'm postively sure they will be done in 6 months. I know that I paid my fee of 15% but what they have given me is far more than what I could ever return to them.

Scottdill, mobile is very knowledgeable, please listen or at the very least check it our yourself. good luck

I am also with Superior, and have been very happy with their service. Have been with them for seven months, and three accounts have already been settled, at less than estimated. They are always available when you call. I agree with melben1, that the money I spent on their fee has been well worth it. And yes, at the end of the program, they do offer the credit repair. At the rate I am going, I will probably be done with the program in two years and not three. I can't say enough good things about them. No idea about Bella Financial.

I suggest you should also try Bella Financial. They're based out of CA, and I've been with them for about 5 months now. Always available, and the results are showing already. My rep steve was very helpful, call him if you want help. removed He will explain the program to you, and even guide you if you should get into this program or should you look for other options.

They're also accredited with BBB, TASC, USOBA, IAPDA and many more organizations.

Best of luck.
Hope this helps.

I am an ex client of Bella Financial and I have to say that I got through the program without any problems. I saved money as explained to me in the beginning and was finished in 2.5 years. My credit took a hit for a while but I knew that going in. Every person I delt with at the company was very helpful to me. I would referr any of my friends to their company that have debt problems. In my experience I have found that there are still many people out there that don't even know debt settlement is an option for them. I am lucky to have found it and went with Bella Financial.

Before you go firing off about the BBB make sure you are intelligent enough to know they are the biggest scam in the US.

Look them up on Ripoff- they are under investigation for accepting bribes.

I heard the same thing on the BBB. They are not a trusted source for information. People in our society think that they need to look to the BBB for research on a company but the truth of the matter is that they are NOT for the people. They are a scam for sure! If you aren't in the business of kissing butt and paying out the top people in charge in your county then they have no use for you.

Clearly you can not find anything on the internet about restricted states for Bella Financial because there are none. To me this seems like a disgrunteled client or ex-employee that is making false allegations. There has not been any reply on where this information was found!!

PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED BELLA-I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE REPLYING TO THESE POSTS. (I MEAN YOU DO HAVE TO CONTINUE TO MAKE YOUR COMPANY LOOK GOOD). YES YOU CAN TELL YOUR CLIENTS THAT YOU CAN GET THESE DEBTS DOWN TO 40% (WHAT IS THE LIKELYHOOD OF THAT HAPPENING)? WHAT ABOUT WHEN I GOT SUED AND HAD TO ACCEPT A STIP OF 75% OF THE DEBT THAT WAS NOT THE TOTAL OF THE DEBT I HAD WHEN I ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM. LET'S FACE IT, WE ENROLL BECAUSE WE HAVE THE DEBT IN THE FIRST PLACE. JUST DON'T LIE TO ME AND TELL ME AND KEEP TELLING OTHER CLIENTS YOU CAN GET THEIR DEBT DOWN THAT LOW. LISA.....IS VERY RUDE, BUT SHE GETS PAID TO BE THAT WAY, I ASSUME. THE BBB DISAGREES YES WITH THESE COMPANIES HELPING FOLKS GET OUT OF TURMOIL, BUT IT DOES NOT HELP WHEN YOU ARE WITH A COMPANY THAT REALLY ONLY TAKES CARE OF YOU WHEN YOU FILE COMPLAINTS. REALLY, NOONE CARES ABOUT YOUR DEBT LIKE YOU DO! gjwestham2 STOP TRYING TO PRY INFORMATION OUT OF PEOPLE SO YOU CAN TAKE IT TO YOUR BOSS AND MAKE YOU LOOK GOOD-IT'S SICKENING-GROW UP! IF MY DEBT WASN'T SO HUGE, I WOULD GO OUT OF MY WAY TO PUT YOU GUYS OUT OF BUSINESS-BUT I HAVE SPENT OVER $4000 WITH YOUR LOW LIFE COMPANY AND WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN. I SHOULD HAVE JUST FILED BANKRUPTCY FROM THE GET-GO!

The internet should be used for finding useful information and for people looking into bankruptcy alternatives. I second the comment from Guest. Clearly this is an ex-employee or disgruntled client and the more they post the more they prove that fact. I am a lead negotiator at a debt settlement company in NY and I find this person's story to be filled with wholes. There is no such thing as a STIP(?) for any percentage of a balance. Again to everyone looking into debt settlement be aware that there are always people who want to tarnish others for no true benefit and this is a classic case.

The BBB IS a joke!
Look, I work at the BBB. I can tell you that while this organization has a admirable cause, you really have to ask yourself what their cause is. The BBB presents themselves to you in the manner that you want to hear. Much like the typical politician. If you are a consumer with a problem, well then they are just the people to call because they look out for you. If you are a business owner they tell you that they are pro-business and founded on the concept of self-regulation. So, how can they be both pro-consumer and pro-business? They can't. They will tell you that the accredited businesses support honesty and integrity in the marketplace and this allows the BBB to educate the consumers. Here's all the stuff they don't tell you.

1. If you become accredited, you INCREASE your chances of having complaints filed against you. Once consumers know of your affiliation they are more likely to file a complaint with the BBB.
2. The BBB keeps complaints on file well PAST the 36 months in contradiction to what they tell you. It just isn't available for consumers to see on the company reliability report. Also, if a complaint is pending it does not show up on the reliability report either. The BBB has NO OBLIGATION to close a complaint. I have seen complaints go unprocessed and left open for years.
3. If you own a business they will tell you how many inquiries you've had or referrals you've had. You are being fed a line of BS. The referral number is the exact same for every accredited business in your category.
4. The system is designed so that if you don't pay the dues you can't get as high of a rating as someone who does. A business really is paying for a rating. Watch out for letter ratings as an A rating simply could mean they are accredited (A for Accredited and not A as in ABCDEF)
5. The BBB claims they resolve 80% of consumer complaints. LIE! What they don't tell you is that the majority are considered 'RESOLVED' because the complaining party didn't respond to the business rebuttal. Often times, email addresses are bad, mail is returned, etc. and no one at the BBB will try to physically contact the complainant to verify their contact information. This is the BBB's way of maintaining their 80% resolution rate. From my experience it is closer to 50%. The BBB banks on the fact that after filing the initial complaint the consumers will drop the ball. Want to know how to tell watch for this language " Company addressed the complaint issues. The consumer failed to acknowledge acceptance to the BBB."
6. The BBB will go out of their way to make sure their accredited business complaints are closed in a positive manner. This is not done for non-accredited businesses. If a complaint is filed and the non-accredited business is sent an email (email address supplied by the consumer) and the email fails, the complaint is closed as unable to locate. This is a negative for the business.
7. Do you have any idea how many complaints are asked to be re-opened because the BBB closed a complaint and one of the parties wasn't notified?
8. And don't get me started on the sales staff. I have heard them tell business owners the largest bunch of bs I have ever heard.
9. The BBB spends a lot of time trying to figure out how to attract businesses to become accredited to increase their income and pad their own coffers.
10. Accreditation means nothing. Prior to October 2007 these same 'accredited businesses' were members. The BBB just changed the name because they didn't want to reflect that a business can just pay dues to be affiliated with the BBB.
11. Do you think they actually perform background checks. Think again. Company pays their dues to the BBB and they are in. The only time a question will arise is if they see something on the company website they don't like. The BBB accuses honest businesses of being shady even if they have done nothing wrong its just based on a feeling that someone gets.

Stay away from the BBB. Consumers should use Angie's List. At least they are funded by consumers. Businesses should join the Chamber

I used the BBB and they handled my complaint correctly. I agree with some of your statements though. Here is the jist of it. If you are an HONEST company, you will have nothing to worry from the BBB or anything for that matter. If you are a SCAM then it will show in time. Even the BBB can't protect a company forever. If you see a ton of complaints for a company at the BBB maybe that SHOULD tell you something.

You made a complaint to the BBB and you are claiming they handled your complaint correctly? How did they handle it? Please be specific so we all can understand you. How can you talk about honest companies when the BBB itself is under investigation? You can't gauge how a DISHONEST company handles a complaint when they are being found out as fraud. You have no point Tom321.

Simple. 1. I made a complaint 2. They contacted the CA to try to mediate the situation between us. 3. CA did not want to settle the situation. 4. BBB put an unresolved up along with their already unsatisfactory record.

What more do you want them to do? That is the POINT.

If the BBB is dishonest fine and it will come out in time but all the complaints are from consumers not them. If a company has a lot of complaints STAY AWAY. who cares what the rating is.

This isn't rocket science.

I agree with you GUEST that it is simple to see the truth (who are surrogates/shills and who is not) but the people who are being scammed by them want to believe so much that they are legit that they will HATE you for posting the obvious and turn a blind eye to the truth. Even when a company is not licensed, BBB complaints and mass websites with the same content on them. Some people have to learn the hard way.

Look you guys, I went through this company, because one of my good friends said I should, but he had only been in for maybe a month. Then, yes things were great. Am I a disgruntled client, absolutely. When money gets taken out of your account on the wrong day, when you try to get in contact with someone and you can't, when you have a freeze on your account because your correspondence is going to these guys like they requested it to and it is not being handled in a timely manner-YES, I SHOULD BE DISGRUNTLED. I only referred my friends, because things were very well in the first month-it's been a rocky road since then. Oh, and unless you knew Crystal, like I knew her, you would be pissed that she was no longer there. She really cared-she went out of her way, I mean worked hours and hours-to take care of things that an OWNER should really take care of. I've been doing some investigation myself and just recently found out that she was let go, simply because she cared too much-couldn't find an ice-cold bone in her body-NOW THAT'S SAD! So, to anyone out there thinking about using them, consider how much debt you really have, before you attempt to utilize their services. To questham2, I do apologize, but I really hate to see people go through things unnecessary! GOOD LUCK!

Surperior debt uses CNI to handle there negotiations. When you call the phone number what do they say when you answer the phone. If you notice with some companies you call they just answer the phone "settlement services?" there are a lot of front end companies out there that you sign up with and someone else is handling the negotiations. Just some info for people out there although i am sure there are many employees of these companies here talking. I know or a few companies doing much research that dont take upfront fees and are members of TASC... I would want to see more of my money being saved rather than going to there fees. IF anyone would like to know some i would reply with some.

I signed up with Bella in May of 08. Since signing I have been sewed three times. The first time was for over ten thousand dollars. This was my largest debt. The only time they contacted anyone was after I received papers from the courts and was being sewed. You read all the above statements on how good Bella is. Well yes they are going to say that since they are employees of Bella. Go to the complaints board and find out how they really are. I would like to hear from anyone whom Bella have took money from and provided bad service. Please contact me at edited - ND They are con artist that needs to be stopped.

I had the same SITUATION as Mr. Russell Tharp. They never do anything or nothing at all, they took my money and disappear!!! They never pick up the phone, never reply my email and never answer my telephone messages. They do nothing to help me, not even when I get a summons from the court. At the end, I solve my own problems... I make a BIG-BIG mistakes signing a contract with them...They are a SCAM-BAG and cheated everyone money and do nothing!!! We NEED TO STOP THEM AND GET OUR MONEY BACK NOW...
