i have been reading some pretty interesting sagas about rjm which is making me have mixed and skeptical feelings toward the company. i actually have my own story but its not as nearly as intriguing. i have been contacted by rjm for years in regards to 3 outstanding debts i had. 2 of them i settled and paid and i'm working on installments for the last. i received a free credit report and it stated that the debt was settled and paid in full. so should i start being concerned about my debt and credit report now since i've come across this information about the company.

As long as you are receiving every communication in writing and the collector lives upto its promise of reporting the accurate status of the account to the bureaus, I don't think there is any reason to be concerned.
Make sure that you receive everything in writing in their letterhead and signed in ink. Preserve these letters for future references.
