You can add this attempt to your list. Friday we got a notice from RJM Acquisitions that my mother in law (who never lived at my address) owed Doubleday Book Stores $81.00 + and that RJM was collecting for them. They stated that my other in law order books In June 2007 that she never paid for. I believe that she did, in fact, NOT pay for them. Mostly because she died in 1999.

This is a real scam! When she died in 1999, how can she order books in 2007? This is absolutely ridiculous. This forum is full of complaints against this collection agency. In case they call you next time, just let them know that your mother-in-law deceased in 1999, so there is no way she ordered for the books or owed the debt. Tell them politely that you're not liable for the debt so they shouldn't bother you with any further phone calls.
