Debt Settlement

Can you settle a debt for less with a law office? My Capital One debt was sent to a law office in the city I live in. I sent a debt validation letter and they did validate the debt. Now I'm wondering if I can settle the debt with them for less or if I am screwed and need to pay it all.

You'll definitely be able to settle this debt with the law firm. Depending on what state you're in, and with what law office it's with, the settlement will be anywhere between 40%-80% of the balance. If you can provide me the name of the law firm I might be able to give you a better idea.
