Okay, I got part of this question answered on another section of the forums - student/education loans do not reach a SOL.
However, I'd still like to know if there are any other loans that fall under this category.
That being said, I've got a few student loans that I haven't heard anything from in years (we're talking 5 or so) and I know they haven't been paid. So,

I'm asking because I'm wondering if you shouldn't contact the original lenders to find out the exact status of your loan. yes, you do need to pay these or make an attempt so you don't run into the situation kashzan did and get a notice.
I believe a CA was trying to collect on them a few years back.
I believe a CA was trying to collect on them a few years back. A DV letter was sent and they replied with some random information, but it didn't qualify as a validation. After that I didn't hear anything else about it.
